Terms of Service

Moonty (moonty.travel) is a marketplace platform that connects travelers with independent local guides in Nanjing, China. Moonty provides technology and tools to facilitate bookings, payments, and communication. Guides listed on Moonty are independent service providers — they are not employees, contractors, or agents of Moonty.
By using Moonty, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
You must be able to form a legally binding agreement to use Moonty. You are responsible for your account and for all activity under it.
When you book a tour on Moonty:
We understand that travel plans change. The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings on Moonty:
Standard cancellation policy:
To cancel a booking, go to My Bookings in your dashboard and select Cancel. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
If a Guide cancels your confirmed booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund regardless of timing. Moonty will notify you by email as soon as we are informed.
If you believe a cancellation or refund was handled incorrectly, contact support@moonty.travel within 14 days of the tour date or cancellation decision.

Guide payout features may be provided through Stripe or other payment partners. Payout timing, verification, fees, and availability may depend on the payment partner, local law, and successful completion of required onboarding.
You agree not to misuse Moonty or harm other users. Prohibited conduct includes:
Reviews, photos, messages, guide profiles, and other user content must be truthful, lawful, and respectful. You represent that you own or have permission to submit the content you provide.
Moonty may remove, limit, or edit visibility of content that appears unlawful, misleading, abusive, private, infringing, spammy, unsafe, or inconsistent with these Terms.
Moonty is an intermediary platform. Moonty is not directly responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any guide service offered on the platform. Guides are solely responsible for the services they deliver.
Moonty is not liable for personal injury, property damage, financial loss, or any other harm arising from your use of guide services booked through the platform. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Moonty's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the specific booking in question.
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, specific tour outcomes, guide availability, or that user content is complete or accurate.
If you experience a problem with a booking or a guide, please contact us at support@moonty.travel. Moonty will make reasonable efforts to mediate disputes between travelers and guides but cannot guarantee specific outcomes or resolution timelines.
All content on the Moonty platform — including text, logos, graphics, interface design, and software — is owned by or licensed to Moonty and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any Moonty content without prior written permission.
By submitting a review, photo, or any other content to Moonty, you grant Moonty a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and use that content on the platform and in promotional materials related to Moonty.
Moonty may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Moonty after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Moonty may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the platform if we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, created risk for others, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if required by law. We may also modify, pause, or discontinue features as the platform evolves.
Moonty integrates with third-party services such as Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, Ably, UploadThing, AMap, Sentry, and email providers. Their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Moonty is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Moonty harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement of another person's rights.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China for resolution.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under the laws applicable to you.

These Terms of Service were written to be clear and practical. They are not a substitute for legal advice. Moonty strongly recommends having this document reviewed by a qualified lawyer before commercial launch, particularly with respect to consumer protection laws applicable in your users' home countries.
